Funday is a weekly event in Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) schools where students participate in a variety of activities to develop their skills and have fun:
- Games and sports: Students participate in sports like football, cricket, and tug of war, as well as indoor games like chess, carrom, and puzzles.
- Creative activities: Students participate in activities like poem recitation, song, dance, skits, reading, calligraphy, story telling, drawing, paper craft, and collage making.
- Mental activities: Students participate in activities like mental math.
The purpose of Funday is to:
- Provide students with a new outlook on life and learning
- Make students mentally sound and motivated towards learning
- Nurture children at a young age and bring out their hidden talent in different fields
